Went to install this widget for a friend (Crystal Jordan), and we both noticed that when you’re using it in long form (not drop-down) and with multiple categories, it looks a bit odd showing “Links” and then the category title. I’m releasing 0.5 with the option to skip the header, for those folks who it would look cleaner without.

I’ve installed your links widget and modified the output slightly. I prefer when selecting an external link that the external link opens in a new window.
Could you either update the plugin to do this, or, advise how I can add the target=_blank to the link tag.
Great work.

I’m in the middle of working on a consultant job in my spare time right now, but when I’m done I’ll try to roll out a new version with this functionality.

Are you looking for this to work in drop-down mode, or in the standard mode? Doing it in drop-down mode is probably going to mean Javascript which will be subject to pop-up blockers, though I’ll see if I can avoid that.

I’m using it in drop down mode!!
Hopefully you’ll be able to code it without resorting to javascript.

I used javascript, but didn’t have an issue with Firefox blocking it. Try 0.6 or 0.7 and see how it works for you.

Something to say?
